I'm Mrs. Punkin Chunkin 2011!!!

Nov 10

On November 6th I became the first Mrs. Punkin Chunkin but it wasn't just me that won, my family won!! Pageants require the commitment of an entire family to be successful. Now I have the privilege of being Mrs. Punkin Chunkin 2011 and will be advancing to the Mrs. Delaware United States pageant in June!!

I wanted to be Mrs. Punkin Chunkin because I really identified with the event and it's impact on our state. As many of you know I am extremely devoted to my family and Delaware's Punkin Chunkin is a tradition that embodies many of the principles that are important to me as a wife and mother. Punkin Chunkin is about friends and family coming together to use their ingenuity to create something and give back to the community. It's traditions like Punkin Chunkin that make a community into a family and a family oriented area. Essentially I couldn't have won a more perfect tittle for me and what I'm about! I can't wait to get out there and promote my new tittle and the Mrs. DE US system!!!

Thank You so much to Mrs. Marci Mc Nair, Ellie Steenson, and Siouxzan Moore for putting on such a great pageant!!!!!!!!!!

If you couldn't make it out this year Punkin Chunkin will be televised on the Science Channel on Thanksgiving Day

After I won with my good friend Shana!! Thanks so much for always believing in me!!!

American Heart Association Benefit

I had a great time at Krista's Red Dress Event! I didn’t think I would be able to go but my stepdad's surgery was postponed. It ended up working out to be a nice unexpected surprise and it was really fun to see so many of my pageant friends!

Christmas

Mar 20

I love waking up on Christmas morning!!! John always records my son and I coming down the stairs to open presents. My dad usually gets to our house ten or fifteen minutes after we come down. I couldn't figure out how he always does that until I discovered that he wakes up early and drives around our neighborhood until he sees activity in our house. After we open presents it’s time for me to make our traditional Christmas morning brunch!

It has become tradition in our home to have my Mom and Step Dad for Christmas dinner. The best part is that it's so relaxed that we eat dinner in our pajamas.

Christmas Eve

Mar 20

Christmas was odd this year. I think everyone in our family felt something was missing but at the same time it was impossible to ignore how lucky we were to have each other. We, the Bear Bells spent Christmas Eve with the West Chester Bells. We had a great time! I really enjoyed playing with my nephews and my new baby niece!

That evening we went home and prepared for Christmas morning. We were up to 4:00am doing Santa's work. I love setting up all the toys and presents almost as much as I enjoy watching my son open them.

RIP: Dad Bell

Mar 20

Dad Bell was a truly beautiful person. People usually think of dad as a wonderful doctor but he was really so much more. He was one of those people that you could talk to about anything. He wasn't just a great listener he had a million interesting stories. We miss him and will continue to miss him...
